Welcome to Hill Country Church! We want you to feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. Our church is a mixture of young and old alike. Dress tends to be business casual. We have one service each Sunday and smaller Growth Groups on Wednesday evenings. We look forward to meeting and getting to know you more.
New Here FAQ
- How do I get there?
Our address is 31375 FM 3351 (Ralph Fair Rd) Fair Oaks Ranch, TX 78006. We are located directly off of Ralph Fair Road, 6.4 miles on the left from IH-10/Ralph Fair Road Exit and 5.5 miles on the right from Hwy 46/Bergheim. Look for the windmill and silver sign located at the front of our winding, country driveway.
- What's a Sunday service like?
Our time of fellowship begins at 9:45 am with coffee and pastries. Feel free to come and get to know other church members, guests and visitors prior to the service. The service beings at 10:00 am with both young and old together for praise and worship. Our worship style is neither 'contemporary' nor 'traditional' in style, but rather we seek to wholeheartedly worship God, sometimes through hymns, other times through new choruses and also through well known praise and worship songs. Following worship, welcome and announcements, children 5th grade and under are dismissed to Sunday school classes. Children 6th grade and older remain in the service with their families.
Pastor Eric shares wisdom and insight into the Bible verse by verse and examining the original meaning of the text and how it applies in our lives today. Sermons also cover sections of scripture by topic for practical application for our daily lives.
- Should I bring my Bible?
We encourage you to bring your Bible. We also provide Bibles for you to use that can be found under the chairs. Each bulletin has a sermon outline with important points and scriptures. Scriptures will be displayed on the overhead screens as well.
- What about my children?
Children are always welcome in our worship service but for families who would like to take advantage of other ministry opportunities we offer, Sunday school for children 5th grade and younger is a wonderful opportunity for them to learn of Jesus' love for them! Nursery through 2 year olds sing songs, create through arts and crafts and learn a simple Bible story. Children 3 years old through 5th grade are on a 3 year journey through the Bible using Generations of Grace curriculum. We began our study, starting with Genesis, in the Spring of 2015.
- Does Hill Country Church receive an offering?
We do not pass an offering basket during or after the service and guests are not expected to give. For our church family, boxes are provided near the exits. If you desire to give, please know Hill Country Church is devoted to being careful stewards of the resources within our care. Members and Regular attendees are encouraged to be faithful in tithing. Thank you for your faithfulness as you give unto the Lord.
- What's a Wednesday evening like?
On Wednesday evenings our church family comes together for dinner starting at 5:30 pm. Our fellowship starts at 6:15 pm when we break into Growth Groups. The atmosphere on Wednesdays is casual and relaxed with real, genuine fellowship being shared by young and old alike. Our Growth Groups, starting with Pre-K/4 year olds through Adult Growth Groups are all currently going through topical studies using Bible Studies for Life from LifeWay. Since each age level is going through the same lesson, tailored to their age group, it allows for family worship and discussion opportunities at home from each member of the family. Nursery care is available for children from infant to 2 years old.
- Early Elementary Growth Group: Pre-K/4 through 1st grade
- Preteen Youth Group: 2nd through 6th grade
- Youth Growth Group: 7th through 15 years old
- Adult Growth Groups: 16 year olds through adults
